Immediate opening for a Full-time Afternoon/Evening Custodian at C. R. Anderson Middle School
Work Hours: Mon - Fri, 3pm - 11:30pm
At Helena Public schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As an Afternoon/Evening Custodian you contribute to this mission by keeping the district's buildings in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems or interruptions to the education program. You will work as part of a team of 70+ maintenance personnel serving nearly 8,000 students and 18 campuses across Helena.
Some of what you will do:
- Assist in maintaining seasonal grounds work (snow, lawn) etc.
- Clean and preserve designated spaces, equipment etc. in the building.
- Restock disposable items and provide day maintenance person with inventory usage and data.
- Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and minor repair on plumbing, custodial equipment, building structure and hardware.
- Performs minor electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Perform light maintenance as needed.
- Assist the visiting public utilizing school facilities with directions within the building and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment and/or materials.
- Maintain building and grounds security by closing the building each school day and during special events.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Up to three (3) months of related experience and/or training;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by the District.
