Working remote or based in Las Vegas, NV and reporting to the Director of Product Delivery, the ScrumMaster will be responsible for facilitating and improving the delivery of , the Caesars Rewards app, and their product capabilities, for Caesars Entertainment and its family of brands (Caesars Palace, Flamingo, The Linq, Harrah''s, Bally''s, etc.). The ScrumMaster will coach scrum team members, in close collaboration with the Digital Product Owner, to realize the vision for the entire end-to-end guest experience, across all digital touch points (smartphone, desktop, voice, etc.) particularly for the Caesars Rewards loyalty websites, account management, guest-facing offers, partnership sites, and content that feeds 3rd party channels. This role is responsible for coaching the team members in the mastery of agile/scrum methodologies and techniques in creating and breaking down features into various artifacts, including user journeys, story maps, user stories, product specifications, and non-functional requirements to propel the product forward from concept through development. In addition, this leader will be accountable for identifying and eliminating dependencies and blockers across teams and systems, while encouraging fierce conversations and the proper elevation of risk and issues for successful feature launches and continuous improvement of team delivery and behavioral dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and understanding of agile principles and digital product delivery culture with respect to responsive web, mobile, native application, and web engineering, as well as the ability to provide guidance and leadership when the team is facing challenges. The ScrumMaster will be responsible for ensuring their team drives consistent and continual improvement of product delivery principles, communication and teamwork patterns, and department behaviors to foster a high-performance team that delivers great products and are a pleasure to work with. The candidate must be able to collaborate within a team and across multiple product teams and vendor/ partners simultaneously and excel in a fast-paced environment while identify and leveraging threads across multiple teams and departments. The role will provide coaching and workshop facilitation to the individual contributors who bring products to market, serving a scrum team of 5-10 employees, contractors, remote freelancers and vendors as digital products and initiatives are proposed, designed, developed, and launched. The ScrumMaster must have the leadership and drive to help teams that ideate and deliver high-quality digital products for our customers, by living a culture of data-driven and end-user focused product design, engineering, delivery, and innovation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Engaging Facilitator: The ScrumMaster will facilitate workshops and meetings for their teams by setting the stage and creating an open environment in which the team can collaborate and discuss ideas to help the team reach its goals. They must carefully ask powerful and sometimes pointed questions to encourage discussion and provide perspective. Through structured facilitation you will win the crowd by listening to understand instead of listening to act, ultimately growing a strong team. Trusted Coach: A great ScrumMaster must not only know what to do but must bring everyone along and reinforce the why and the how. As a coach, the ScrumMaster will encourage their teammates to work together, improve their hard skills but more importantly their soft skills to maximize the potential of the team. This role will coach to each team member''s strengths and weakness and assist the team members to continually improve their craft and behaviors to drive high-performance. Agile Advocate: The ScrumMaster must know and constantly evolve their expertise of Scrum and Agile guidelines and methodologies. This role will be accountable for the accurate implementation of the scrum taxonomy and principles while ensuring teams are following, improving, and adjusting agile practices (not deploying ''faux-agile'') to deliver high-quality product capabilities and features. Impediment Eliminator: As a servant-leader the ScrumMaster will live within the scrum team and use their observation and experience to identify risk, dependencies, and impediments that exist inside the team that prevents them from optimal performance. More importantly they will have a wide-angle lens to identify disparate dependencies across multiple teams to propel the program forward. Measurement Maker: If we can''t measure it, we can''t improve it...the ScrumMaster is responsible in the team''s use of Jira and reports (or Post-its and walls) to track the movement of user stories, identify latency in work in progress (WIP) and ensure the team is working to baseline and track the team''s velocity to improve estimation and predictability. The role will teach our teams how to measure and improve performance over time with the right techniques and output of reports to help leadership understand how predictability informs prioritization within the product portfolio. Early Warning Elevator: The ScrumMaster attends daily scrums with the team to help drive team decisions and communicate changes in strategic direction or priority shifts along with product owner. More importantly they provide frequent communication to the product leadership and their peers within the team and across multiple product teams in sharing development progress, elevating any issues that could impact the budget, timeline, or strategic vision. Bad news must always travel faster than good. Consistency Composer : The ScrumMaster along with the product management leadership will coach the scrum and communicate across various teams to drive consistency with reporting and more importantly delivery culture and behaviors to evolve to teams to working agreements including the ''definition of ready and done,'' consistent story-mapping and story-writing, and testing techniques across the department will enable speed and scale and overall success of the program capability ecosystem Financial Responsibilities: While this role does not have direct budget oversight, the ScrumMaster has the responsibility to help control development costs and properly inform product management any risks or issues that may impede the financial success of the product.
