What to Expect:
Mental Health School Support (MHSS) provides a variety of direct care and educational services to children and families. This role participates in the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu according to each child's treatment plan and agency philosophy.
The role is responsible for providing quality care and treatment to children, responding sensitively and proactively to the individual treatment and educational needs of the children. In addition, this person will support the child during transitions from one activity to the next such as to music and PE. They will also support the classroom teacher, providing one-on-one or small group lesson support.
Lastly, this role has the unique opportunity to support the children's morning routine to aid in a successful day at school!
