We are currently recruiting a talented and innovative Director, eCommerce Engineering . This position offers a hybrid role based in our beautiful corporate office located in Framingham, MA. What youu2019ll be doing: u00b7 Deliver innovative, complex features and enhancements for the eCommerce platform working cross functionally with product management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, operations, and other product development teams. u00b7 Provide an architectural strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals by collaborating with product management, enterprise architecture, and business partners. u00b7 Focus on providing eCommerce, system integration, and related technology expertise and thought leadership on design, architecture, and platform build out of the customer facing as well as backend solutions. u00b7 Develop micro services for eCommerce platform public cloud and integrate third party solutions to build a composable architecture. u00b7 Lead managers and engineers and interacts with other cross functional teams like Product Management, Project Management, and Operations teams etc. to develop innovative solutions that meet eCommerce market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles. u00b7 Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies and the company' s goals in addition to industry knowledge. u00b7 Build a culture of engineering excellence (quality, performance, resilience, security, etc.) in your team and for the entire organization. u00b7 Drive the definition and adoption of world class engineering, software development automation, testing and deployment processes. u00b7 Build a customer focused, data driven innovation mindset cross functionally. Strong interpersonal skills to drive positive change. u00b7 Bring new ideas, trends and ways of working to enable technological transformation. u00b7 Develop AI based solutions to enhance customer experience and conversion. What you bring to the table: u00b7 Strong technical depth and vision for ecommerce into developing the next generation platforms for scalability/reliability. u00b7 Strong analytical, data-driven decision making and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. u00b7 Ability to coordinate multiple product and technical teams by removing roadblocks and solving complex problems collaboratively. u00b7 Ability to navigate large organizations, develop strong business partner relationships and build network. u00b7 Outstanding influencing, communication, and presentation skills. u00b7 Demonstrated success working within cross-functional teams, effective project management & analytical/decision-making skills. u00b7 Experience with open-source technologies, public/private cloud technologies. u00b7 Self-starter, high-energy, with ability to execute business objectives. u00b7 Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. u00b7 Visionary executive with solid experience overseeing a team of leaders who in turn manage managers. Whatu2019s needed : u00b7 15+ years of experience in a related field OR a master's degree & 12+ years of experience in a related field. u00b7 10+ years of experience building and leading a high performing organization. u00b7 Previous experience building and scaling large ecommerce systems. u00b7 Front-end and back-end experience in building and scaling high performing ecommerce systems. u00b7 JAVA, REACT, event driven methodology, no-sql databases technology skills. u00b7 Exposure to AI based technologies a plus.Staples is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
