A Helena-based credit union is looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to their growing team. What You'll Actually Do:

• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees
• Administer policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance
• Manage ADA, FMLA, short-term disability, and other leave programs
• Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee education
• Support performance management, rewards, and recognition systems
• Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations matters with care and discretion
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
• Maintain and optimize the HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow preferred), including data accuracy and reporting
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices
• Collaborate on HR strategy, process improvements, and employee engagement initiatives

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
• 1+ year experience in a professional HR role
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification are always welcome but not required
• Knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and leave administration
• Experience with HRIS systems (ADP WorkforceNow a plus)
• Hands-on experience administering benefits and managing FMLA/disability cases
• Skilled in conducting thorough and fair HR investigations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you're approachable, empathetic, and detail-oriented
• Able to multitask, stay organized, solve problems, and build trust across all levels of the organization

Where and How Much:

• Target Compensation $25-$31/hour
• 100% in Helena office
• 401K | 85% Employer-paid healthcare & 90% Employer-paid Dental and Vision | 3 weeks PTO
