We are seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager to help our clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects while serving as Owners Engineer and/or Advisor.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
- Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
- Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks associated with the services being offered.
- Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff in completion of project activities.
- Provide regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client to ensure deliverables are understood and aligned.
- Monitor project deliverables for quality, completeness, and conformance to client expectations.
- Proactively monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule; develop recovery plans as needed.
- Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes.
- Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and consulting issues.
- Guide design or consulting work in the managers area of engineering expertise.
- Routinely report project progress to the local and regional accounting and operations team.
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, or combination of education and relevant project experience.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant power generation project experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- PMP certification.
- Experience designing or managing simple?cycle and combined?cycle EPC projects as owner, owners engineer, OEM, or EPC contractor.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated business?development skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of project?management experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project?management software.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to being an active participant in an employee?owned culture.
