Description:

Shodair Children's Hospital is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, safety, and security of our hospital's physical plant and campus grounds. This role is vital to ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain hospital equipment and systems
  • Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Document inspections, testing, and repairs accurately
  • Maintain landscaping and lawn care across the campus
  • Operate snow removal equipment during inclement weather
  • Support building security and assist with routine safety checks
  • Paint and perform minor structural repairs to walls and facilities
  • Assist with pool operations and equipment maintenance
  • Provide on-call assistance as scheduled
  • Collaborate with and assist other departments as needed
  • Work some weekends and holidays as part of regular coverage

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
  • Basic computer, math, and writing skills
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and perform physical tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in maintenance or facility security
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing fixtures
  • Familiarity with pool maintenance and operation
  • Low Pressure Boilers License and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification a plus
