The CONSTRUCTION INTERN assists the Construction Manager and Project Managers with the administration of Helena Sand & Gravel's construction work. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, but occasional work may be required on weekends. Typical work weeks exceed 40 hours. BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS - Complete Pre-bid Take-offs - Assist Small Project Bids - Transfer Awarded Projects from Bidding Software to Accounting Software Prepare and Submit Permit Applications - Prepare and Submit Project Submittals - Help Prepare Subcontracts and Purchase Orders - Maintain Project Files - Track and Maintain a Data Base of Required Aggregates for Construction Projects - Help Develop and Distribute Daily Trucking Schedules - Spend Time in the Field Assisting Project Superintendents - Assist Project Managers as needed - Work with Construction Crews Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
