Overview

The Staff Pad is partnering with a healthcare organization to hire a Prep Cook to support daily food preparation in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality meals whilemaintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle food in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and production sheets
• Assist with forecasting food quantities based on menu and census needs
• Perform basic cooking techniques (chopping, dicing, roasting, grilling, steaming, etc.)
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately to ensure consistency
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, including proper food labeling and storage
• Monitor food quality and participate in daily production and quality control processes
• Assist with inventory, reporting low stock, and supporting ingredient ordering
• Provide support with dishwashing and kitchen coverage as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and report equipment or workplace concerns

• 1+ year of food preparation or kitchen experience required

• Healthcare or institutional food service experience preferred

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
